See How UOS Works
We have only just launched Use Our Sponsors and whilst the number of registered Organisations is growing, many are not "live" yet. This means the content of the site is limited.
With this in mind, the best way to understand how UOS works is to:
- Click on the Organisation Search button on the Home Page (no need to enter location, category or name) and this will bring up a list of Organisations.
- Click on Papplewick & Linby CC, this will take you to the Organisation page.
- Click on the Our Sponsors tab and this will show you the clubs Sponsor Directory.
- Click on respective Sponsors to see their individual mini-site.
- You will see the Used Them button.
As we go live with more Organisations and Sponsors we will include advanced search facilities.
Any problems or questions please email enquiries@useoursponsors.com
Terminology
To make it easier to understand the UOS website we thought it best to clarify what we mean by the terminology we use to describe the way UOS works:
Organisation
An Organisation refers to the entity that signs up as a Customer of UOS. For example:
- Sports Clubs
- Schools
- Colleges & universities
- Charities
- Societies
- Etc..
Sponsor
A Sponsor is the entity, usually a business, who donates an amount to an organisation to have their business advertised and profiled on the organisations UOS website. Organisations are categorised and their information is displayed within a Sponsors Mini-Site.
Member(s)
A Member is someone who is connected to an organisation. This could be a player, a pupil, a supporter, a parent…etc..
Members are encouraged to use the organisations sponsors and record this by using the ‘Used Them’ facility.
Sponsor Mini-Site
A Mini-Site is the sponsor profile page which provides details about who they are what they do and the special offers to UOS members.
There is also the facility to contact members via email and also to record that you have used their products and services via the ‘Used Them’ button.
Used Them
The Used Them button is on each Sponsor Mini Site. When a member actually uses a particular sponsor, this is where they record the amount they have spent with the sponsor and the date.
This is important because it enables an organisation to understand the value a respective sponsor gets from their sponsorship donation.
Entering details into this is totally private and for the sole use of the organisations UOS Manager. This information can be used to help negotiate the amount a particular sponsor donates in the future.
Suggest a Sponsor
This feature enables members to nominate businesses and suppliers as potential sponsors for the organisation. This information is private and for the sole use of the UOS Manager.
UOS Manager
The UOS Manager is the nominated person who runs, populates and administers the UOS website for a particular organisation.
